Mână de ajutor (Romanian for "a helping hand") is for the small jobs around a house that nobody has time for: mowing, cleaning after tenants, splitting firewood, carrying a sofa up three floors. One person says what needs doing and what they will pay. People in the same county who asked for that kind of work get an alert and offer to do it.

Where it stands

The product is in development. What is live today is the pre-launch page, which explains how it will work, shows the planned web and phone screens, and takes waitlist signups from both sides: people with a job to hand out and people looking for work.

What I have built so far

  • A React and Vite page that is prerendered at build time, so crawlers get the full content without running JavaScript.
  • A waitlist on Supabase that the page can write to but never read. Each signup records the link it came from, so every group post can be measured.
  • County and locality pickers generated from Romania's official SIRUTA register.
  • Deployment on Railway behind Caddy, with real 404s, cache headers and a www redirect, and DNS and mail forwarding on Cloudflare.

How the product will work

  • One account for both roles: ask for help today, do a job tomorrow.
  • Alerts only for the counties and kinds of work each person picked.
  • Every job closes with before and after photos, then both sides rate each other.
  • Looking for work is free. For people posting jobs, the first two listings each month are free.
